Personal Care Assistance While in the Home
At Enhanced Rehabilitation Services we offer our patients short-intermittent personal care in the comfort of their own homes. From a hygiene standpoint we offer the following to help assist our patients:
- Bathing
- Skincare
- Dressing
- Dental
- Hair
- Nails
Additionally, we provide light housekeeping services while we are in the home:
- Laundry
- Changing Bedding
- Picking up around the house
- Meal Prep (Minor: Prep a lunch, not for an entire week or extended length of time.)
Why We Provide Personal Care Assistance
These extra services are provided to patients to ensure their safety in the home, while we rehabilitate them back to the best version of themselves. Proper hygiene is essential to the recovery process, as well as an improve patients self-esteem. Housekeeping and cleaning, especially in the areas where bandages are applied and removed, reduces and minimizes the risk of infection.
We consider these complementary to the services we provide while in the homes of our patients. Once the patient’s rehabilitation is complete, we will either have trained the caretakers or recommended companies that can help with assisting with personal care.
